Commute Commute
Synopsis

Every day, more and more commuters are relying on their smartphones to complete their public transport commute. With the rise of direction capabilities and real-time APIs, developers are overwhelmed with possibilities on how to make the daily commute in Singapore more convenient and efficient. Yet, conventional market offerings are inadequately localised and are left with numerous shortcomings such as a lack of convergence between navigation and other responsibilities as well as a comprehensive methodology to tackle the controversial issue of MRT breakdowns. Can we use this to curb the effects of MRT breakdowns on the schedules of commuters and make sure every Singaporean gets to their workplace on time?

Commute is an application that makes use of existing GPS and text-analysis technologies to infer contextual information about MRT breakdowns on your radar before setting a real-time alarm to account for your commuting schedule and, of course, MRT breakdowns. The objective of Commute is to provide a seamless experience for users to plan their day and daily commute.
