Project Title Understanding the drivers of lone wolf Jihadists in France
Synopsis This project analyses on the drivers of lone
Wolf terrorism in France while making use
of the psychosocial theory. In this
project, we looked at the main driver
of lone wolf jihadists, which we have
identified as alienation. Alienation
is experienced by both converts to
Islam as well as first, second and
third generation immigrants to France.
We looked at 3 different case studies on
lone wolf Jihadists in the country. All the
attacks listed all took place between 2010
to the present day. We analysed the
background of the Jihadists, as well as their
motivations and their targets, as well as
their significance in respect with other
lone wolf jihadists.
